`Nam Anna Don` ON MOBILE ? ANOTHER BREAK THROUGH IN KFI

Another feather in the cap of the Kannada cinema history of 77 years! ‘Nam Anna Don’ of actor cum director Ramesh Aravind film audio was not released via CD hiring any audio companies. The audio of three songs in the film was released via ‘Idea cellular phones’ at a crowded afternoon on Wednesday at Taj Gate Way hotel on Brigade Road in Bengaluru.

This is for the first time in the country the audio songs of a Kannada film was released in a mobile phone. Three songs clips were displayed on mobile phone of Idea and it was also arranged for big screen on the other side of the auditorium.

The release of audio songs via mobile is an answer to piracy. It is difficult to say but there are some advantages and disadvantages in doing so.

All Idea customers need to do is subscribe to idea music station by dialing 543213 and it is Rs.30 per month. The songs plus clips of the movie are also available, Mr Siva Ganapathi, CEO of Idea Cellullar is contemplating on giving one hour movie trailer at a particular time.

Actor cum director Ramesh Aravind was most excited at the audio release of songs via mobile. He recalled what Bill Gates had told holding the CD. We have come from gramophone to cassette and then to CD. Now hearing songs on mobile is the fashion. So we thought of releasing the three songs of Nam Anna Don in a mobile. So we have made a tie up with the Idea Cellular. This is going to be money yielding for producer in future course of time.
